Random Thoughts

Once again I have been reprimanded by my sister, "Would you blog something for God sake!" O.K., I can take a hint!!

I have been really busy these past few days and my blog has been woefully neglected, sorry gang. Thursday the boys and I had a lot of errands to run and Thursday night I had Bible study. This was our last Bible study and now we break for the summer. Next weekend I will be going on our yearly women's retreat. Am I excited? Well, to quote my dad, "Does a bear poop in the woods?" Yes, I am really looking forward to spending some time alone and fellowshipping with my friends.

Yesterday the boys had their last art class for the school year. Next week is their art show and they are terribly proud of all of their art that will be on display. Last night we rented National Treasure, we made brownies and had a wonderful family night. I highly recommend the movie, the boys really enjoyed it and so did we.

Today I taught my two classes at the gym and we spent the rest of day outside in the glorious sunshine. I gave Joe a haircut and now he is so cute I just want to eat his face. Yesterday Kevin was eating peanuts and craisins and he asked me if I thought Joe would eat them also. I told him to try it and see what he does. He loved them! Kevin said, "He's like a goat! He'll eat anything. We should let him crawl around the backyard and graze." He really will eat anything, chicken, vegetables, pepperoni, tissues. Yes, he has partaken of Kleenex, but they are not a regular staple!

I know a few of you have asked me about the marathon and if I am going to run it again. The truth is, I don't know. I really want to but it is an all encompassing event. I will have to start training yesterday and I don't know if I can dedicate the kind of time to a running schedule that a marathon requires. I really need to give it some hard thought and come to a decision soon because the registration closes on June 1. What do you think? Should I go for it or not? Pros? Cons? Give me your opinion.

I say "Go for it!" What an awesome accomplishment! Personally, the closest I could get to participating in a marathon would be handing out water to the exhausted runners. But if you have the time and the desire, I vote "YES!"

I want to see Joe's haircut! I bet he is adorable. You know I love those peanuts - but the 2 others in my house have that peanut allergy. I say go for the marathon. I know you can do it. Will we see you later (I sent you an evite)?

I don't know about the marathon. I know you love the running, and the training, if you have the time but... I know it can be a cause of stress due to "other" factors (all those people in your home needing all that attention!) I will be there for the summer and am willing to help in whatever was I can. It's your call, dear. I did so love being there and watching, however.
