Funny and Not so Funny.

You know that you are getting old when:

You go to the park with your children and, at their urging, you swing on the swing and it causes you to become nauseated. Yep. This from the girl who used to ride roller coasters like it was her religion. Now, I can't even go on a kiddie swing at the playground without pulling a Margie from the movie Fargo, "I think I'm gonna barf."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our family on dinner etiquette:
Laney: (to Kevin) You have food on your face.
Kevin: It's just part of my charm.
Pause. He removes said food particle from his face.
Kevin: Ewww, it's cold.
Laney: Charming.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And then, there's this.

This vile little creature (and trust me, he was a lot bigger than the picture shows.)

escaped from here. I won't go into how many times I asked the men in this home to, pretty please with a cherry on top, get rid of it.

Here, Kevin has employed my method of using the ginormous wedding picture, that still needs to be framed, to corral and capture the offending varmit. The difference is, I flat out refuse to touch the lizard and opted insted for the fly swatter to lift and flip it out of the house.

John was not pleased with Kevin's method of holding the lizard and chose to scream, over and over again, "Daddy! STOP!!! You're killing it." What you cannot see is the lizard with it's mouth open, baring razor sharp teeth at his captor.

(Disclaimer: No lizards were injured during the exorcism.)

Look to the finish!

I LOVE the picture! You crack me up. The close up picture of the lizard is priceless because of your sons poor little frown!

I think it is all your fault, Laney, that I have been dreaming about having pet lizards for the last two nights!

Oh man, I thought getting nauseaus(sp?) from swinging was something that only happened to me. think it must be an inner ear thing. Somthing that happens when you are pregnant.

Eww on the lizard! I think I might have screamed and hopped up on a chair. Funny pictures though. Esp the one with Kevin and the humongous wedding picture.
