VH1 Presents, I Heart the 80's

And I ran, I ran so far away.
I just ran, I ran all night and day.
I couldn't get away.

Oops, are my 80's showing? Here's the reason why...

Jeremy woke up with a Flock of Seagulls hair do. I had to get the camera out because, number 1: he is just so adorable and number 2: I love the 80's! (Much to my husband's chagrin)

And now again, Flock of Seagull lyrics are apropos.

Reached out a hand to touch your face;
You're slowly disappearing from my view;

Disappearing from my view.
Reached out a hand to try again;

I'm floating in a beam of light with you.

Well, that one doesn't really fit but, man, Flock of Seagulls are some kickin' lyricists! No?

If these kids keep up this wacky behavior, Mensa is going to want their membership cards back.

In other news...

I got a traffic ticket for running a red light. I am not proud of this, not at all. In fact, I am completely shocked by it! It came in the mail and the worst part was Kevin opened it first.

Down here they have cameras set up at high traffic traffic lights and instead of the police pulling you over, they snap a picture of your license plate tag and mail you the ticket. Honestly, I have been a very good driver and the ticket was such a shock to me that I knew I didn't run the light on purpose. It was kinda funny because of another thing that came in the mail with my ticket.

My mom sent Kevin a birthday card with $100 in it. He showed me the ticket and then the card. My first thought was, "Poor thing, his birthday money has to pay for my infraction of the traffic laws." I guess crime really doesn't pay. Or does it?

Look to the finish!

LOL! Now I would be thinking the same thing- poor guy, his birthday money is going to pay for my ticket. The guilt would last oh... about a minute! ;)

They have those cameras up here in Minneapolis too. But someone recently challenged them in court as being unconstitutional or something.

And I love your tribute to the 80's! Brings back memories for sure...

OMgosh, I LOVE the hair! But the smile and those bright, bright eyes just really do the trick, don't they? Such a handsome guy - not everyone could pull off that hair.

Maybe some A-Ha lyrics would fit well with the other shots?? Hmmm... think, think, think.

Too funny about the ticket. I mean, not... yeah, you know. Can you appeal or do traffic school?

LOVE the 80's bit. I have Sirius satellite radio and am hooked on the all 80's station and the Hair Band station! My husband thinks I am crazy.

Oh no! Ticket by mail - that stinks! You didn't even get a chance to use your charm to get out if it. That is unfair!

Cara,
By "charm" do you mean crying?? That usually works! LOL

Jules, I think you may be onto something. I should go and tell them that they violated my right to privacy!

Dy, AHA!!! Take me on....Take on me...

This is too funny- when I posted my comment last night I had mentioned A-Ha but then couldn't remember their song! So I deleted it- but now, thanks to you gals, I have it fresh in my memory again and probably won't be able to get rid of it! ;)

Wasn't that a great video? The comic strip thing was....totally cool. ;)

Dude, I totally think your son looks like Wolverine from X-Men!

Oh, and just so everyone knows-my kids have been singing Elvis all day. (thank you American Idol!)
