How Do Ya Like My Hair, Grandpa?

.

. Posted by Hello
On Friday, I took all three boys for haircuts. I was reading over at Dy's and she likened her boys getting haircuts to a sheepshearing. I liked that analogy so very much, I just had to steal it!! Thanks, Dy. Joe was a little scared at first but our hair girl, Yvonne, is wonderful and by the time he was done getting his haircut, he didn't want to leave her chair!

I threw the second picture in because of the pure unadulterated joy on that kid's face! It makes you laugh, doesn't it?

Kevin and I have been on a serious get out of debt plan since February. We are finally seeing the fruit of our labor and it is very exciting! Dave Ramsey has changed the way we view money and our future. His plan is so smack yourself in the forehead obvious and easy, we look at each other and say, "Why didn't we do this sooner?"

Today was another glorious Spring day!! I went to the library, got some cool science books and a Bill Nye the Science Guy video about the human body for the boys and two books for myself. One is called Between a Rock and a Hard Place. It is the true story of Aron Ralston, the man who amputated his own arm to escape death when he was on a hiking trip. I can't wait to start reading this one. The other is called Paradise by A.L. Kennedy. I'll let you know what I think.

G'night all!

Laney,
I did not get that much done, but we had a good time. We missed you. I am glad you'll make it next time.

What a cute kid!!!! Yep, he made me smile today. Thanks for the heartwarming feeling that face gave to me. I miss my grandkids!!
Enjoy your reading. I just started "Ya-Ya's in Bloom" the prequel the "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood". Looks like it is going to be a fun read. I've been reading some heavy stuff lately & thought it was time for a change. Have a blessed week!!
Namaste

He is so cute! I love the face, no matter how short or long the hair is. Dad (Grandpa) is going to love it. Just can't wait for Thursday when I will be there kissing that face!
You are too much - "smack yourself in the forehead obvious" but I do get the message.
Thanks for making my day with those photos.

As predicted, Dad, aka Grandpa, loves it! He laughed out loud, long and hard.

Oh, he is so darling, and yes, that second picture made me smile. More people should laugh that heartily, every day. Glad you got some use from the sheering concept- it is truly amazing how such small heads can have so much hair, isn't it?

Gotta check out Dave Ramsey. We're at the end of our first BIG long-term goal. Accomplished. Now we need another one. This sounds like a great place to start poking around.
