I Did A Bad, Bad Thing

Today I had to go to the grocery store for paper plates and to Staples for printer paper. As it turns out, Shop Rite sells computer paper so my second trip was not necessary. As I was looking in the paper goods aisle, I noticed that the paper plates were on sale and it got me thinking. If I could only figure out a way to jam the paper plates in the printer, I could double their use and make them even more efficient! I could print the boys weekly schedules on the plates and when the week is over, where I would normally just toss the paper in the garbage, well now I could use the paper plates to serve them their lunch. I am a genius!

(Just FYI, this will ruin your printer and make your husband angry.)

Now that part you have been waiting for, the bad, bad thing! It started out innocently enough, I went into CVS for Zone bars. As I was walking to the cash register, I went down the candy aisle, just to see what was on sale mind you. And there they were! Jelly beans. Not just any old jelly beans, but Brach's jelly beans. They are very elusive little candies! Normally the only time I am able to find them in abundance is Easter and I make it a point to stock up. I saw the bag and I wanted a pink jelly bean more then I wanted air to breathe. Alright, mild exaggeration, but you know what I mean. I bought them with all good intentions of keeping them as a little snack. Once I got the bag open, all bets were off! I was like Cookie Monster! Not the new politically correct one who eats healthy foods, the old one who makes crumbs everywhere from the food spewing out of his mouth.

To say I ate a lot of jelly beans is an understatement. I ate them all. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. I am not proud of myself, this is more of a cautionary tale to warn you of the evils of jelly beans and how strong our impulses are. I can't even bring myself to look at the caloric breakdown, it is probably the equivalent of what could feed a small country. I figure if I start running now, by Thursday I will have burned them off.

We had a great day in school! The boys impressed Kevin with their fluidity in Latin. One of their favorite things to do is shout commands in Latin. "Surge" means stand up, this is a favorite around here. They also impressed him with their ability to put the vocabulary words we have learned together and speak sentences. These boys are awesome.

I gotta go locate the elusive Pepto Bismol, ugh!

You should call Hewlett Packard to tell them of your new printer paper - you could become a millionare! As for the Beans, you are hilarious! I could eat a whole bag of reese's peanut butter eggs.
