Martha Stewart? Well, maybe.

Here is a recipe for a terrific summer salad.

1/3 c. Pure maple syrup
1/3 c. Raspberry vinegar (I use Monks)
1/3 c. Olive oil

Mix together and pour over your favorite greens. For an extra special treat add pine nuts and dried cherries (I use Mariani). To make it an extra filling meal add a chicken breast. It is so delicious, you will not be disappointed!

That's it for Martha, now back to our regularly scheduled chaos...

I sent the boys outside to blow off some steam before my head blows off. Headless horseman, a good thing. Headless mother, not a good thing! Seriously, I discovered that if I let them play outside before we do schoolwork, they are less likely to squirm, fidget, complain, giggle etc. I know they can't help it, they are active boys and they need an outlet. And really, how many times can you say,"Boys, calm down" before the sound of your own voice becomes so annoying you want to smack yourself?

Alicia, or the savior of my sanity as I like to call her, is coming over at 12 o'clock. Truly, I feel so grateful to have her. When I told the boys they started to giggle and grin. The jury is in, verdict= love her!

About the title, I know Martha has been in the big house and she now has a record an all, but I started to notice that many of my titles were song lyrics. I am taking a break from plagiarism and attempting to be creative. Ha-ha.

One funny side note, about the yardwork deal. I thought for sure my parents would stick up for me but I guess I was mistaken! My dad sent me a funny e-mail. He said, I saw you do yardwork once, you handed me the rake. Isn't he funny?

The last paragraph isn't the only funny part of this post. It's all funny. Except, of course, the vision of you without a head. That's serious.
