Mish Mash

Just a quick check-in post. I spoke with Kevin this morning and he is in Mississippi. He didn't have a good cell so our conversation was pretty broken up. I got bits and pieces, Mississippi... my cell phone...no reception...humid...4500 linemen...miss you...love you...humid...unbelievable devastation...people...so kind and thankful...humid...kiss the boys...call later.

I am not exaggerating for the sake of humor, it really was like that. Well, and me yelling, WHAT? You're breaking up, WHAT? Joe was in the background repeating, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT?

I really miss my husband, waaaa.

The good news is, my mother is here, did you hear the angels sing just now, too? I am not completely inept, just in need of some adult company.

I bought a new camera on Sunday and I took some great pics but I can't figure out how to get them to the computer. I hate reading those user manual's. Why can't they speak in plain English and use phrases that make sense like, the yellow thingy near the button you push to take a picture. That clearly identifies where I need to look! Do you think if I duct tape the manual to my head I will absorb the information by osmosis?

Thanks again to Dy, for the encouragement and "political" talk, it was great!

I have decided that I need a little catch phrase to end my posts, like Donna and Dy have. Would you help me think of one?

I am so bad at thinking of things like this! I like Donna's suggestion Pressing On.

I am glad you got to speak with Kevin, even if it was like the "Can you hear me now?" commercials.

I hope you get to spend lots of fun time with your mom! And that she gives you a much deserved little break.

Ooo, Verizon could pay you big bucks for a sweet set up like that, eh?

I have no idea on the tag line. Mine wasn't intentional, and I didn't even realize it until I noticed others commented on it elsewhere. Then I thought, "Do I always say that?" So I went back through my archives and well, whaddya know! I do. LOL! Try out a few and see which ones just feel like a good way to end a note.

I enjoyed the visit. It's so nice to keep meeting "our kind of normal" folks. But I swear I'm not stalking you. Not in a bad way, anyway. Um... ok, I'm going to quit now. ;-)

I'm glad you are receiving encouragement and sanity breaks all around! Keep praying, and we'll do the same.
