I am rapidly losing my sense of humor. C'mon people! Eight days is a long time to wait. *Sigh*
We are trying to maintain our sanity and keep a sense of normalcy, but everytime the phone rings we look at each other as if to say, "Let's get all of our underwear packed before we answer it, just in case." Alas, out underwear are still folded neatly in their drawers. Well, mine are folded neatly, Kevin's are just, well, I guess you could call them folded.
The good thing is I am 99.9% finished with my Christmas shopping. The bad news is, I procrastinate in putting things away and Kevin saw one of his gifts. I was quite impressed with myself because of this gift, too. I bought him the Bob Dylan No Direction Home DVD, a gift I knew he would love and never guess. He will guess his Christmas gifts, a behavior I find most irksome.
I liken wrapping his Christmas gifts to being a CIA Undercover Operative. The gift cannot, in any way, shape or form resemble its true self. If he does not guess the gift, then and only then, is my Christmas wrapping mission successful.
We are spending Thanksgiving with my family this year, as we alternate years. I am really excited and thankful to be doing this because we may not be here next year. We'll see...
In the mean time, the phone is ringing, I gotta go pack my underwear.
