What??

Last night I asked my beloved if I were to die would he remove his wedding band.

He said, "No."

And then he said, "I would if I was looking to get married again."

And then, BAM, he exploded when I shot laser beams from my eyes in his direction.

"WHAT?" I said.

"What?" he said. "You always said if you died that I should re-marry."

Oh.

I did, didn't I.

I don't think that I would re-marry, he has spoiled me for all other men.

Do you ever talk about these things or is it just us?

Look to the finish!

We do.

Not as much as we used to, because The Husband was always saying something stupid and (not being equipped with laser beams) I have to punch him in the arm.

He's tired of being punched so runs and hides when I ask him something that could lead to violence.

We discuss things like this too. I am never sure Steve tells me the truth or what he thinks I want to hear ;)
I too would not remarry, but not for the same reason. I just could not be bothered.

Yeah. We do.
My husband would be one of those men to be married in less than a year.

I don't think I would remarry.

I mean, it would take an act of God for me to think of marrying again.

We talk about those things to.

As for Donna's comment, I've heard it said that when a man remarries quickly he's paying a high compliment to his wife. It means he thinks marriage is a GOOD thing so he is ready to be married again.

LOL!! I wish I had those laser beams myself!

We do talk about these things. Both of us have said that we would probably not remarry. He said he wouldn't because of the trauma for the kids. I said I wouldn't because men are too much work. ;)

We joke about it but really I would just want him to be happy. He's free to marry anyone he wants- once the kids are grown up. ;)

When I was married I asked those questions. I wanted to hear I was the love of his life & no one could ever hold a place as dear as mine in his heart. I never heard that. So, needlesstosay, death did not separate us...divorce did--twice. Both my exes have remarried-one of the, twice. Me, I am happily single for over 13 yrs now.

Life turns out as it is destined.

Blessed be...

No, we've never talked about it, but I think I will bring it up tonight (after I fine tune my lasers). :)

Ohhhhh, I do hope my DH would remarry for our children's sake. WIthout a Woman in the house, they'd never again get anything more impractical than underwear for their birthdays. They'd never go on another vacation. And school shopping would all take place in one visit to Target.

I do hope he would remarry, however....I have extracted a promise from him that if I die, he must have a life size very flattering painting done of me....and hang it opposite his bed, so that laying down you can't help but see it. It can never be taken down, turned around, or covered, and must be illuminated whenever he and his new wife get intimate. But....gee I do want him to be happy and fulfilled if I'm not here.
