iPod

I have officially entered a new realm, I downloaded my own songs onto my iPod shuffle Saturday night. I did this without much weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

I bought:
U2
Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
With or Without You
All I Want is You
Pride
Where the Streets Have no Name

Pink
Who Knew?

Peter Gabriel
Don't Give Up (with Kate Bush)
In Your Eyes

OneRepublic
Apologize

I like to describe myself as 80's with a side of funkiness. Next time I buy music I am going to get the Erasure: POP! 20 hits. For reasons completely devoid of logic, I just love 80's synthepop. From the first few bars of Erasure's "Chain of Fools" to Tears for Fears anthem "Shout," I'm hooked.

As a girl growing up in the 80's any music from that genre has the ability to transport me back in time to days when I was giddy and goofy and young and carefree. Put on the Bangles "Walk Like an Egyptian" and I am instantly a passenger in my friend Laura's car. We are driving home from cheerleading practice discussing the finer points of the new pyramid that we just practiced and debating weather or not to stop at McDonald's or Burger King.

Music is a connection to my past and as much as I want to cringe when I think of the ridiculous things that I did, I wouldn't change a thing.

I so glad that you are using your iPod! I had an MP3 player from Dell and I have a lot of songs on it but I so many more to add. Bon Jovi takes up the most space ;)
