AWOL

I know that all 3 of you who read this blog with some regularity have been wondering where I am. Well, I have been busy with house guests. Days seem to fly by in a blur, and before I know it almost a week has gone by with nary a post.

Regular blogging resumes tomorrow, but I leave you with a quote from my 6 year old.

"Mommy," he said the other morning as I was helping him get dressed (yes, I know that he is fully capable of dressing himself, don't judge) "You are such a funny lady." See? It is official. I am funny.
If only it were as easy to make adults laugh as it is children. I just have to blow raspberries on his belly and say the word "poopie."

acI figure just like the rest of us, you are busy as heck. Oh and you probably needed a break after having a sick husband at home. I know I always need to get out of the house after my husband has been home sick for a few days. I don't know about you, but when I am sick, I am still expected to be a mom and do all those normal things we do, like cook and clean. Most moms and wives do not get to take sick days and what are those personal days my husband keeps telling me about?

Of course your funny, you live in NJ. I think it's in our drinking water. BTW, I would laugh if you walked up to an unsuspecting adult and blew raspberries on his belly, stood and said "Poopie" (in a foreign accent for added drama) and walked away. Yes, I would definitely laugh.

LOL, Deborah! Us Jerseyans have to stick together. I promise, though, if we ever meet, I will not do raspberries on your belly. :-DD

I'll see your 6 year old "funny", and raise you a 5 year old declaration of "Mommy, you used to be funny. Now you're difficult". Not kidding.

Thin ice, kid, thin ice.
