Daddy In Da House!!

Alright, I think that is long enough!!! :-)

Well! Kevin arrived home at 7:45 Monday night and what a sight for sore eyes he was! Monday was a bit of a hectic day with some neighbor issues in the afternoon that drove me Over.The.Edge. I told Kevin that if my life were a book title it would be, She's Come Undone, by Wally Lamb. Yes, I am very glad he is home.

Tuesday morning Kevin let me sleep until 8:30! He got up with the kids and put them on supervised, backyard clean-up duty. We have an unspoken agreement in which I take care of the inside of the house and he takes care of the outside. I really hate yardwork, my family can attest to that so, bless his heart, he doesn't ask me to help. He woke me up and told me to get dressed, that we were going out to breakfast. Woo-hoo, no cooking! We headed over to Perkins, aka, Greaseville, and had a pleasant breakfast with a lot of laughs and catching-up.

Tuesday was an absolutely beautiful, unseasonably hot day and my mother wanted to take John and Jeremy to the beach one last time before she goes home. She came to pick them up at 11:30, we put Joe down for a nap and Kevin and I got to sit and talk whole, uninterrupted, complete sentences for an hour. Ahhhh. Later, Kevin went to get a haircut because he was starting to look like a Brady Bunch Character, and I straightened up the house.

Last night was the first night of Boy Scouts, John and Jeremy, Jeremy in particular was very excited because he is a bona-fide Tiger Cub! He has been waiting two years for this monumental event to occur and now that it has, he is over the moon! Kevin and I both agreed that he looked so cute in the Tiger Cub hat that we could have eaten his face with a spoon! Yummy!

Today we are officially adding Science to the rest of our subjects and the boys are excited, they really enjoy Science. Next week we are adding History, or rather, finishing History from last year. I dropped the ball with History and so now, I really have to be diligent to stay on task. I refuse to be stressed about the things I did not finish, it is so counterproductive to worry about what I didn't do. Someone please remind me that I said that when I am stressed in two months! LOL

Time to run, Joe has a paint brush and, yes, it has wet paint on it!

Glad to hear Kevin is back home, safe where he belongs.

Sleeping in...what's that? :-)

Man, we never go out to breakfast, I think we don't know what we're missing.
