Good Stuff

The conversation we had after Jeremy said, "Mommy, you don't actually have to sit here. I can finish my work and I will put all of my books away."

Jeremy, I love you. I am so proud of you.

Mommy, don't you know you have been saying that about 250 thousand times?

Kevin is supposed to be off this week but he went in yesterday for an overtime shift that was supposed to last twelve hours. Not surprisingly, he had to work over-overtime, thus keeping him from attending pack night, because some really selfish person needed their power back on. How self-absorbed can you be? I mean really!

Last night the boys had a pack meeting at Scouts. John earned his religious knot and a patch for participating in the flag ceremony. Jeremy received his first patch for his vest, the one for having a birthday in October, he was very excited.

My mother graciously agreed to take Joe for me while the boys and I headed over to the church. I told the boys I would take them out for pizza before pack night and they begged me not to. They cried, "Oh no, dearest mother that we adore, please do not make us partake of that dreadful fare!" Yeah, right! We had a lot of fun, joking about their day and discussing serious subjects such as the effects of hurricane Wilma. They are both so tenderhearted and compassionate it overwhelmes me sometimes.

At pack night when Jeremy received his patch he turned around to look at me and gave me his little head nod and grin that says, I am proud of myself and I know you are, too.

On the way home, we were listening to TobyMac. I could hear both of the boys singing along to his lyrics and my heart was full knowing that their voices were bringing glory to God and a smile to my face.

I am too blessed!

You are blessed...just as our dear Lord intends. What a wonderful evening with John & Jeremy. I'm so glad that since Jeremy was not ready to be away from homeschooling you brought him back home. It is probably a good time for the boys to begin their individual development & find their own circles. Hurrahs to John for all the hard work. Glad he is doing so well in school.
Have a fabulous day!!
Namaste`
