Look! A New Post!

I can take a hint, girls!

On Wednesday, October 4, we went to the beach! Crazy right? In New Jersey that would not have happened.

We got sunburned!

In October!

I love the South!

Did I use enough exclamation points?!

We have been in a really good school groove. I have even begun reading aloud to the boys again. To be honest, I don't love reading aloud but I do it because I'm afraid the homeschool police will come to get me because the boys enjoy it. They have also been doing a lot of independent reading which makes me very happy.

I decided that I am not going to run the half marathon. Training for a half marathon would consume a lot of energy and time that I just don't have right now. Maybe in ten tears, if I still have any cartilage left in my knees, I'll do another marathon. I'll only be 45.

Dear Lord in heaven. 45.

Moving on...

So yesterday I was working out in the living room. We have this wonderful cable channel called FitTV. I TIVO the shows that I like and then work out along with them at my own convenience and I am able to fast forward through the commercials.

Kevin and John were sitting on the couch laughing at me watching me. Which is always fun. *snort* Kevin says, as he's reclining in the chair, "I feel thinner already."

I started cracking up. He can be very funny. Sometimes.

Let me say one more thing about Fit TV. The one chick on it, her name is Kathy Freidrich and I swear that she was manufactured in a laboratory in Czechoslovakia. You can't eat and look like that. You just can't.

I hear Joe asking for a lollipop so I have to run.

Look to the finish!

'Bout time, girl! Glad to hear you're doing so well. I don't blame you one bit on giving up the half-marathon. Just keeping up with your boys is a workout!

How funny! I work out at home too but please, it's at 5am when there isn't a soul to witness the horror.

My word, I'm looking at 45 in FOUR years. OMGosh....I actually said that out loud, lol!

Glad to see you back.

Ah yes, the lovely October weather! But will it snow this winter?
Glad school is going so well, we're finally getting into a groove here too.
I'm glad you finally posted, I've missed your posts.

You let them WATCH you exercise? I am in awe. Here, everyone is banned from the room that Mommy is flapping and stepping (and often cursing) in until the spectacle is over. ;)

Glad you're "back" Laney!

My beloved and I were born and raised in New Jersey, in some past life, it seems. We are currently living in the south, too...Georgia, to be specific. It might be nice down here in October, but the summers are brutal!

I've come from Andie's woods, though you apparently know that, and I'm glad to meet you!
